Description

This course mainly focuses on:

Shaolin Kung Fu has a long and profound history, dating back over 1,500 years. It places great emphasis on cultivating an individual’s offensive and defensive combat capabilities as well as maximizing personal physical limits. Each type of Kung Fu has its specific routine forms.

The Twelve Routines of Tan Leg, which originated from Shaolin Temple, is a representative martial art of the “northern leg” in the concept of “southern fist and northern leg”. Its leg – raising is extremely rapid, with the requirement of “suddenly springing up and attacking fiercely”. It is both tricky and changeable. When the leg is kicked out, it’s like a bullet, making it hard to defend against. It is highly aggressive and has great lethality, being a very practical combat martial art!

Although the deterrence of the Twelve Routines of Tan Leg is formidable, its routines are very simple and practical. Moreover, with proper postures and a strong emphasis on the cultivation of basic lower – body skills, it is very beneficial for stabilizing the body and can lay a solid foundation for learning other boxing techniques in the future. Therefore, many Chinese martial arts such as Wudang Kung Fu, Xingyi Quan, Bagua Zhang, Tongbei Quan, and Cha Quan, as well as foreign combat techniques like Taekwondo, Karate, and Muay Thai, have introduced its postures as basic skills. Tan Leg pays great attention to balanced practice on both the left and right sides, which helps to develop the body’s balance and coordination abilities.
